bylakuppe, the first tibetan settlement outside tibet

last weekend our coorg trip ended with few hours in bylakuppe which is the first tibetan monastery outside of tibet, established in early 60s.

we visited the "golden temple" which is the main temple of the community, a masterpiece in itself. the main building is huge, with gilded tops, and amazing tibetan style buddhist murals inside.

this temple and its murals are a riot of color, as you will see in these pictures.
